About me

My work process

All the steps in creating a finished product are detailed here. My work process is based on close collaboration with my clients, constantly exchanging ideas, to ensure I am creating a successful website that matches their needs and taste.

Preparation phase

This is the most important step. My primary goal is to gather as much relevant information as possible in order to get a true picture of your business and understand your needs. Therefore, good communication is paramount. I will ask you a lot of questions and listen very carefully. I will also make some suggestions based on my experience. I will explain the whole process to you.

Planning phase

Using all the information gathered I will put together a plan for your website and help you decide what technologies should be implemented. For example, do you need a contact from, a Content Management System integrated, do you need to purchase images, fonts etc. During this stage, the required budget and the time frame for finishing the project is established.

Designing phase

Drawing from all the information gathered previously I create a visual layout of the site. I provide you with a link so that you can view the work in progress and give you the opportunity to express your likes and dislikes on the site design. We will review and tweak until you are satisfied with the design.

Development phase

I will start with the homepage followed by a shell for the interior pages. The shell serves as a template for the content pages of your site. I write HTML and CSS code that complies with the current web standards maximising functionality as well as accessibility for as large audience as possible.

Testing phase

I will attend to final details, test the functionality of your website (such as links, forms and other scripts) and ensure that it is optimised to be viewed properly on the most recent browser versions.

Launch phase

Once you have given your final approval, I will use an FTP programme to upload all the website files to its permanent server. Et voila! Your new website is now live.

Maintenance phase

The development of your website is not over though. To ensure repeat visitors to your site you should offer new content or products on a regular basis. I would be more that happy to continue working together with you, to update the information on your website, I am always available for maintenance and committed to ongoing support.
